Plaid & Sequins

Plaid, sequins AND metallic? Yes please!  For today's post, I created a holiday inspired look that combines three of my favorite things at the moment.

Top: Tommy Hilfiger c/o / Pants: Tommy Hilfiger (here) c/o
Shoes: Steve Madden (here)/ Clutch: PS I Adore You
Love Bracelet: Tanya Kara/ Ring: Julie Vos (gifted)

These are two more of the pieces that I picked for my rack at the Tommy Hilfiger store in the Garden State Plaza.  I'm definitely mad about plaid right now, especially in this festive color combo.  I have to be honest though, these are supposed to be cropped trousers but because I'm only 4'11 they fit me like regular pants lol! They should actually be above my ankle.  However, I love them as full length pants though :) I should have worn my hair back to show off more of this top.  It's really simple but has a sequin embellished peter pan collar.  It's super cute and super affordable at only $39! I really wanted to bring out the navy blue from the pants so I thought this top was perfect.  I love the plaid and sequin combo.  To continue with the navy theme, I added this clutch.  So funny how the first time I styled it I totally thought it was black, however I clearly see now that it's navy blue.  I am telling you I am definitely color blind when it comes to those two colors :(

I did not want to go with a black shoe, so I decided on these metallic babies that really make any outfit pop.  Metallic is such a huge trend this season and especially perfect during the holidays.  I've already gotten so much use out of them and only got them last month.  Definitely a great purchase.  The finishing touch as always is a red lip. As you can see in so many of my recent posts, I just can't get enough of it.  You can wear the simplest outfit but make it stand out just by adding a red lip.  That little pop of color changes everything!  I think an outfit like this is really cute for going to dinner or a holiday party if you aren't trying to wear the typical dress.

I have one more post coming from my collab with Tommy and can't wait to show you my final look.  Once again, thanks so much to everyone who has already gone to the store to check out my mannequin and picks!
Enjoy the rest of this hump day <3

Layering

One thing that we all try and do during the colder months is layer and there are many different ways to do it.  One of my favorite trends is layering a sweater over a button down.  I've been wanting to try this out for so long now and finally got the right pieces to make it happen.

Sweater: Old Navy (similar) c/o / Chambray Top: Forever21(similar)
Jeans: Aeropostale (here) c/o / Shoes: Aldo
Bag: Charlotte Russe

Numerous times, I have expressed my love for chambray tops.  The best part about them is that they act as a neutral leaving room for endless styling options.  Instead of doing a simple white button down, I wanted to use the chambray one for a different effect.  I'm definitely a fan of mixing different textures and styles together.  I think it's a great way to create something new.  My favorite part about this sweater is the embellishments on the neckline.  It was the perfect way to take a basic and turn it into a statement piece.  It also adds a little dressy touch. To match with the sweater, I went with these white pumps which also dressed up the look.  I really like that dressy/casual mixture.  I've been on the hunt for a great pair of black jeans and found these at Aeropostale.  I really love the fit.  I teamed up with them again for this holiday/winter season to showcase a few of my favorite pieces.

On another note, I have two fun announcements.  I am going to be one of the guest speakers at an event this Thursday.  Here is the flyer with all info.  If you are in the area and interested in attending, just send an email to the address listed on the flyer.  I would love to see some of you there!

And also, I will continue to be apart of the Fearless Fashionista campaign in 2014 where I will be blogging for four major shopping centers in New Jersey :)

Hope you have a great day loves.  It's snowing here again!

Walking In A Winter Wonderland

Over the weekend, we got a little winter wonderland.  I went to a blogger brunch and came outside to this!  I've always wanted to do a shoot in the snow and despite the cold, it was fun.  The inner child in me really wanted to build a snowman!  Let me just say I do not always walk in the snow in heels because I would bust my behind.  I wear my rain boots and then switch into my heels when I get to wherever I have to be :)

Coat: Tommy Hilfiger c/o / Leggings: Zara
Boots: (old)ShoeDazzle (similar style)/ Hat: H&M (similar)
Bag: Phillip Lim For Target

Originally, I was planning to shoot in the outfit I wore to the brunch.  But because of the weather, I just decided to focus on my outerwear which I haven't really done much of before.  My top 3 winter essentials are: a long statement coat, tall boots, and a hat.  One of my fondest memories of my father was going coat shopping around this time every year.  He always got me a new coat for Christmas and more than anything, I just loved spending that quality time during the holidays with him as we went shopping together.   I used to drag him to a bunch of stores! I remember the first peacoat he got me and I still have it hanging in my closet.  I've always been big on coats and definitely look at them as an investment piece for winter.  When you get a really good one, they will last for so many years.  I get tired of plain black ones, so something like this is such a stand out piece.  It's a great way to look winter chic.

I've mentioned previously that I have had these boots for a few years now and I still love them.  Tall boots are the best for staying both warm and stylish at the same time.  I've also gotten a lot of use out of this hat over the last month or so.  I am completely obsessed with wide brim hats, especially for winter.   Sometimes wearing hats can be a little snug on our heads, so I actually got this one in a large for extra room and it never bothers me.  If you follow me on instagram, then you probably saw a photo I posted from the brunch.  That's what I had on under this coat :)

Hope that all of you have an amazing day!

Vibrant Winter Hues

From the snow on the ground, I'm sure you can guess how cold it was outside. I swear when I first walked out of the house it was not that bad, but once we started shooting the wind came so forcefully!  It was too cold to look directly at the camera the whole time. I tried my best, but after 5 minutes I threw in the towel lol

Skirt: Furor Moda (here) c/o / Top: MNG By Mango
Jacket: Charlotte Russe (similar)/ Booties: Target (here) *on clearance
Necklace: Prima Donna c/o / Clutch: Galian/ Tights: Hanes Luxe Sheer

I was in a color blocking mood when thinking of ways to style this skater skirt.  I love the shade of blue and really wanted to create a bold look.  Blue has been such a big color trend this season.  This burnt orange top has been working it's way into my outfits many times lately.  I still can't believe I scored it for $11 on sale!  It definitely made this outfit pop so much more and I really love these two colors combined.  Truthfully, I almost went with a black top at first to do a simple black and blue look, but it was too boring.  I knew that I wanted to wear this necklace, and since it has both of these colors, it was the perfect piece.  I definitely needed to wear a jacket, so to edge this up, I added one of my favorite faux leather ones.  The studded clutch also added another element as well.  I definitely want to wear this skirt again when it gets warm!

I recently did a gift guide on Fearless Fashionista so make sure to check it out if you need some last minute ideas.  Happy Friday loves and I hope that you all have an amazing weekend!

Gold Accents With Tommy Hilfiger

Today's post includes another one of the items on my rack at Tommy Hilfiger at the Garden State Plaza.  It's a simple LBD that I chose because it works for so many different occasions: work, dinner, happy hour, holiday parties, etc.  A black dress never goes out of style :)

Dress: Tommy Hilfiger c/o / Shoes: Forever21(love these)
Earrings: OASAP / Clutch: Sienna Ray c/o

I always pay attention to the little details, so these tiny gold buttons are really what caught my eye on this dress.  It's so simple, but the great thing about that is it leaves room for endless styling options.  I'm a sucker for black and gold which is no surprise as you've all seen in many of my previous posts.  I wanted to make this look very classy and holiday ready.  You don't always have to wear the obvious red or sparkly dress during this time of year.  You can take something simple and create a bolder look with your accessories.  Since I typically do statement necklaces, I decided to wear these hanging gold earrings and put my hair to the side to really let them stand out.  I wore these stud trim pumps and added this gold clutch to dress it up even more.  I got this bag last year and also used it during the holiday season.

If you follow me on instagram, then you've seen all the sneak peek pics from my rack that I've been posting.  Some of you have already mentioned that you've gone to the store to see my mannequin and picks.  Thank you so much for that!  I'll be sharing more soon :)

Hope your day is fab!

Naty Grams

Happy Wednesday!  It's time for another round of Naty Grams.  It's definitely been awhile since I did this post.  These are my favorite most recent ones.  Make sure to follow me on instagram @natybaby if you aren't already :) Hope you like and make sure to check out the end of this post for some fun info!

It snowed the past few days in Jersey.  These aren't exactly snow boots but I wear them anyway.  I found them on eBay 2 years ago for $25!  I just need to get the inside lining so my toes don't freeze in the snow!

This is another sneak peek at the pieces on my rack at Tommy Hilfiger.  Loved this faux fur vest and burgundy blouse.  The vest is 40% off in store right now too! Can't wait to show you more.

This was definitely a cool moment for me seeing my blog's banner on the rack at TH.  Very appreciative!

I got to meet the stylish and lovely Nicole Richie at the Style Tag event last week in NYC.  I only got to talk to her for a moment but she was super sweet.  Style Tag is a new fashion app where you can upload images of yours and others street style and tag where items are from to help make it easier for people to purchase those items.

My little boy in his Christmas jammies!  Love him to pieces.

Fitting room selfie in this super comfy sweater from Dynamite.  I have been living in sweaters lately!  I love long and loose fitted ones.

An afternoon at Starbucks with a few essentials: Pumpkin Spice Latte (my fave!), mini satchel, sunglasses and google nexus.

Some pretty holiday sparkle!  Gold cuff from Oia Jules, Green cuff from Daisy Gem, Necklace from Diana Ho Designs and Watch from Fossil.  I highly suggest joining Klout if you haven't already!  They determine your influence on the internet by linking all of your social media platforms and/or blog.  It's a great way to connect with others and they also give out really amazing klout perks like this watch!  Hurry and sign up!

A much needed latte!  My coffee addiction is so bad.  I found the cutest coffee shop on the upper west side called Birch.  If you live in the area make sure to check it out.  They have a really cool aesthetic!

Matching with the pretty leaves that are now all gone :(

Now for some fun news:  I am now a style ambassador for a really cool fashion app called Covet Fashion.  It's basically a virtual closet where you get to buy items from within the app to create virtual looks.  There are different events every day that you can join and create looks for according to their theme.  In some games, you win prizes within the app like an article of clothing or accessory to add to your virtual closet.  But other games, there are real life prizes that will be sent to you!  The winners are determined by users voting on their favorite looks.

I am going to be hosting an in app event called Urban Prepster.  Here is a brief description:
"An urban prepster is classic yet trendy.  Coordinate conservative separates with edgy finishes.  Possibly pair a crisp button down blouse with a leather jacket and chunky jewelry."
The game goes live tomorrow 12/12 at 12pm PST and ends 12/15 at 12PM PST.  Voting results will be available on 12/16 at 12PM.  Let me know if any of you download the app and decide to play!

Hope your day is amazing!
