MY ONE YEAR BLOGIVERSARY!

One year ago today, I created a little blog called A Love Affair With Fashion. I started posting pictures of myself in front of a mirror with my iPhone to showcase my outfits in hopes to inspire other girls.  I honestly never thought that many people would care enough to read my posts each day or to see what I was wearing.  But to my surprise, they did.  With each passing month, I thought of ways to make this blog bigger and better. In a year I've managed to receive close to 350, 000 blog views.  I've gained a following of almost 30,000 instagram followers and 23,000 Likes on Facebook.  Those are huge numbers to me and it makes me very appreciative for each and every one of you!

 This whole blogging journey has been such an amazing and humbling experience.  I never imaged that I would have the ability to connect with thousands each day and inspire them with my own personal style.  I never thought that different stores and brands would want to work with me and that I would get featured on different fashion sites for my sense of style.  It's been incredible and this is still just the beginning for me.  Looking back over this past year, I have seen how much my own style has grown and evolved.  I have met so many amazing people by doing this.  I am so excited and anxious to see what the future holds for my blog.  Thank you each and every one of you who takes the time to read my posts, leave comments, and follow.  It means more to me than you know!  All of you help me keep this blog going and I hope that I will continue to inspire!

Gypsy Warrior One Year Anniversary Bash

My darling loves, this is the second event that I went to on Saturday night.  I'm sure most of you have already heard of Gypsy Warrior by now, but in case you haven't it's an amazing boutique that sells both modern and vintage pieces.  Think super edgy with a boho twist.  Right on trend.  They've got all things spikes, studs, leather, skulls, tribal, leopard, maxis... the list goes on! I've worn their pieces before and love their shop! I had the honor to meet both of the owners Michel and Nicla back when their store was only open for 3 months.  It's been so great to see how far they have come in such a short amount of time.  Very inspiring!  

Saturday was their one year anniversary bash for the store.  Such a fun event! It was held at Blend in Ridgewood, a lovely restaurant/lounge.  There was a red carpet, complimentary drinks and snacks all night, amazing treats, a giveaway, and gift bags.  Check out the pics :)

The gift bags were super cool. They were filled with lots of goodies including a top from For Love & Lemons!  Can't wait to wear it.  And I love their GW totes and pins.

Wildly Smitten Grand Opening

Happy Sunday my beautiful readers! 

 Last night I went to 2 events but I decided to create separate posts for each so that I could focus on them individually.  The first one was for Wildly Smitten, a new boutique in Nutley, NJ that just had it's grand opening last night.  Through these pictures, I think that you will fall in love with it just like I did!   But first, let's get into my outfit details!

Wildly Smitten is a women's boutique that has the latest fashions from labels such as Mink Pink, Motel Rocks, Finders Keepers and For Love Of Lemons just to name a few.  The pieces are all about being wildly free, beautifully bold and romantically edgy.  I love that! The owner and founder, Raphaella, has already been involved in the fashion industry as an international fashion model.  Her goal with Wildly Smitten is to bring you the most sought after affordable and animal friendly apparel. The boutique offers a great selection of pieces, especially for special occasions.  Guests at the opening were able to enjoy a night of shopping with champagne and tasty treats!

Wildly Smitten tree!

The setup in the boutique was super cute! It's a small space with such a trendy and cozy feel.  One of the things that I love most about smaller boutiques is that you get a more personal shopping experience. The store is officially open and located at 683 Bloomfield Ave at Laura Ave in Nutley, NJ.  If you are in the area make sure to stop by and check it out for yourself.  With holiday parties, Christmas and New Years right around the corner, I think you would find something fabulous to wear at Wildly Smitten!  Their online site and magazine will be launching January 2013, but for now you can check them out on Facebook and Instagram!
